WHAT IS “INTEGRAL TRAINING TECHNIQUE TO DANCE” ALL ABOUT?

This course is designed for people with or without experience

Claudia Bozzo, professional dancer dedicated to teaching tango for over 20 years and general manager at La Escuela del Tango, has developed an integral training technique where different art disciplines fuse into one with the aim of improving the dance style.

Amongst these are: classical and contemporary dance, eutony, sensoperception, contact improvisation, acrobacy and artistic gymnastics, body alignment, biomechanics, Lecoq technique, role playing and drama improvisation.

From these various perspectives, the specific needs for dancing tango are conceived: learning to know and handle one’s own body, its energy and its expressive capabilities of one’s own and of its partner.

Specific needs:
- Relaxed movements
- Body Alignment
- Collocation, stretching and muscle strengthening
- Breathing as the motor of movements
- Recognition of different “qualities” of movement, energy optimisation for expression in tango.
- Coordination training one’s own and in partners .
- Research in coreographical, musical and special possibilities.
- “Role-play” development as the starting point of creativity.
- Small group research and presentations

All year round lessons, Tuesdays from 07pm to 9.30pm
and Thursdays from 02.15pm to 15.45pm
